I noted your comment about my bucket and spade but from what I gather, I better not put it away when I go back to the UK, as I'll need it for bailing out the floodwater! And the spade for trenches!

How is it where you are? :)

Incidentally, I can't get any zoom to fit my Minolta 7000. Did you say you knew of a place?

My camera is a Canon EOS and I can pick up lenses quite easily, there is a place in Southampton I sometimes use, but at present I can't remember the name!

I had considered buying a 500mm and using a converter but not sure I have the patience to sit for hours to try and get one shot (birdwatching) so linking this with no funds I havent got any further.

The weather, after the rain we now have snow. Where I live in Hampshire (home of an excellent cricket team and Liverpool beat Man City over the week end - looks like they are back on form) and we are on high ground so no problems.

Have yu been to Storms River Nature Reserve yet, take yer boots and do the walks its a kinda must do (for me anyway). If yer go to Cape Town yer must go to Bird World in Hout Bay, it was the best ever for us and it was lashing down all the way round.

Oh yes and Sunday lunch at Portland Manor, followed by a pint in there bar....in my mind I'm there already.

Have to go now and get the train into London.
